Cox Science Center and Aquarium Annual Gala

The Cox Science Center and Aquarium's annual gala is the organization’s most significant fundraising event of the year, featuring some of the most renowned figures in science. For over a decade, I have been responsible for designing the event materials to reflect its prestigious stature.

Golden Eye — The James Webb Telescope: Revealing the Hidden Universe

Featuring Dr. Alexandra Lockwood, "Golden Eye" focused on the remarkable discoveries of the Webb Telescope. The invitation cover incorporated gold foil to replicate the telescope's iconic hexagonal primary mirror segments, while recently released images were integrated throughout the design.

60 Years of Science — An Electrifying Experience

The "60 Years of Science" event commemorated the 60th anniversary of the Cox Science Center and Aquarium. Featuring fashion designer and innovator Anouk Wipprecht, along with the high-tech band ArcAttack, the event highlighted the organization's impactful journey. To symbolize the Science Center's trajectory, I incorporated the iconic plasma ball—an enduring staple of science centers—and used silver foil for the text, adding a touch of sophistication to the design.

Oceans Alive! Exploring the Wonders of the Sea

"Oceans Alive!" featured renowned oceanographer and marine biologist Dr. Edith Widder. This event showcased her incredible underwater photography and world-famous footage of live giant squids. The invitation design drew inspiration from the mysterious species that Dr. Widder studies.
