Journey Through the Human Brain
I served as the Project Manager and Creative Director for the Journey Through the Human Brain exhibit, overseeing partnerships with local organizations, including Florida Atlantic University’s Brain Institute, Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience, and Scripps Research. I developed interactive components, wrote interpretive content, and executed all graphic design work, providing creative direction for the interactive media elements. Additionally, I managed the bilingual translation process, performing final edits on the Spanish copy, and collaborated with national and international vendors to procure exhibit components. I also contributed to the development of a mobile app for the Science Center, featuring engaging brain activities and a virtual reality experience.
Journey Through the Human Brain showcases 30 interactive installations that provide an in-depth exploration of the brain’s structure and function. This immersive experience highlights cutting-edge research conducted at prominent brain research centers in Palm Beach County, making complex concepts accessible and engaging for visitors. Spanning 2,500 square feet, this exhibition represents the culmination of three years of dedicated planning and collaboration with numerous partners.
Exhibit Planning
In the early stages of planning for the Journey Through the Human Brain exhibit, I developed comprehensive branding and style guidelines to shape the exhibit’s visual identity. I created detailed renderings, including studies for the most intricate interactive components, to convey a clear vision of the intended experience. Additionally, I prepared exhibit concept overview documents and sponsorship booklets to support fundraising efforts and engage potential partners. Throughout this process, I regularly conducted presentations to keep stakeholders updated on our progress.
